"Mystery of the Phantom Ship"

The 3 dolphins are racing, and leave Pipi behind. She scolds them,
aside from Fin. Suddenly, they notice an odd cold current and see
a dark ship in the distance.

They get Triton to check out the ship (not telling Luka). Confident
of what Ippei told him about ships, Triton goes to check it out.
Pipi chides him for being too curious, and the dolphins aren't too
crazy about it either. Suddenly, they hear an odd song coming from
the ship, and Triton suddenly takes off toward it. Ero and
Karo drag him away from the ship, and ask why he went crazy
after hearing the song. Triton does not seem to remember what
happened.

Back at the Island, Luka tells them about the evil ship, 30 years
ago, she saw a party taking place on another ship which wandered into Poripeimos's territory. After hearing the song, they boarded the evil ship, where a beautiful woman waited to drink their blood. Triton vows not to forgive the vampire, and goes to the ship (now docked at an island full of graves) with his ears plugged. The Morsejellies tap that he is caught by Camilla, and Poripeimos is glad that Camilla's island will get another gravestone.

Mwa(BLUB)hahaha(BLUB)AHAHAHAHA(BLUB)!!!

Triton sees an old woman on the island carrying a cross. The old
woman begs him to take her away and tells him not to go onto the ship. Triton, of course, does not listen and boards the ship, finding the ship's log in the captain's cabin.

Granny got some interestin' dentures...Gee, I wonder who this is.

In 1861, Captain Gabley and Camilla were to be married.
On the 13th of June, a monster appeared, and they heard a voice to strike the invaders.
Camilla disappeared, coming back 3 days later...

Hearing the strange song, Triton rushes out on the ship's deck,
and Ero and Karo call him. They tell him that the old woman boarded
the ship. Triton can't believe the beautiful singing could come from
that old woman. He goes on to the island and finds Captain Gabley's
grave, with fresh flowers upon it. Hearing a sound, he discovers the
old woman digging another grave.

He demands to know about the ship,
and the woman remarks that he is like Poripeimos. Poripeimos refuses to let her die until she fills 3000 graves. Triton tries to take her away, but they are blocked by sound anglers (which are chasing Ero and Karo). Triton and the old woman run to the ship, but the old woman refuses to board until Triton drags her on. The ship takes off, and the vampire appears.

Unplugging his ears at just the right moment, Triton stabs the vampire with the Oriharucon
dagger. The vampire ages into the old woman (big surprise). She thanks him for returning her to the world of human beings. Triton burns the ship, trying to get the old woman to leave, but she refuses. Reading her journal, she reads the passage "16 June 1861- Camilla cannot help drinking my blood..." "All this is the doing of Poripeimos!" she cries as the ship burns.

Ero, Karo and Triton vow to fight on against the evil of the Poseidon as they watch the ship burn...

MP-05 Megatron - Painted....

And is he gorgeous...

I wish the head resembled either the Gunrobo "crown" head or the cartoon version (the MP-05 leans toward the cartoon, but doesn't really look like either to me), but that's a minor quibble.

A more major one is the lack of the silencer and stock - he always appeared with them in the cartoon. Plus I never had them, since the only Megatrons I ever had were stripped of accessories. Let me guess - in 2 years they'll sell the "MP-05 SOMERANDOMKEWLENGLISHWORD" that comes with the silencer and stock.

Hopefully the alteration to the thing that US importers have to do to pass customs laws won't completely wreck the toy. Between the SOC Ideon and this guy, my cash isn't looking too good. It ALMOST makes up for this vomit inducement...

"The legend of the vanished island"

At the island, dated music plays as Pipi and the dolphins play and
Triton kicks at Fin. Pipi asks Triton for a swimming match, but
Triton doesn't want to do something so childish. Pipi tells him
that he can't compete with no tailfin. Triton goes after Pipi,
but Luka stops him, reminding them yet again that they Need To Get
Along Because They Are The Last Triton(TM). Triton swims away
ticked off, and Ero and Karo pursue. Triton accuses them of
making fun of his legs.

The three of them swim away from the island and get lost. They find
a boat with a spear in it, along with some sanddollars, which Triton
throws into the ocean. Triton dives back into the water, where
a boy, Butchya, faces off with a shark, armed only with a club.
Triton kills the shark with the spear. Morsejellies relay the
shark's defeat, as an army of sharks swim around. At Doriate's
ship, Doriate tells the sharks to destroy Triton and rides the giant squid Gelpura to pursue him.

Triton asks Butchya to be friends, and Butchya comments on his
strange clothes and shark-killing ease. Butchya tells him that
only he and his grandfather are on the island. Triton apologizes
for throwing away the sanddollars, and Butchya takes Triton to his
grandfather's house, telling him that Butchya and gramps are only
there temporarily. Triton meets Grandfather, who demands to ask where Butchya met Triton. He calls Triton the "son of the devil" and drives him away, telling Butchya to have nothing to do with him.

Back with Ero and Karo, Triton wonders why he was called the
son of the devil, and goes to eavesdrop on Butchya. Gramps
tells Butchya that a legend tells that a nearby island's people were destroyed when a strange man arrived with a costume like Triton's. After he came, an earthquake destroyed
the island. When the old man spread his cloak, a shark grabbed him and vanished into the sea. Triton realizes that the shark may have been Doriate's, and wonders if the man was a Triton.

Back at the house, Pipi combs her hair, oblivious to Triton's absence. Meanwhile, Doriate, Gelpura, and a shark army approach the island. Triton asks the dolphins to help him find the sunken island, but they doubt there is significance to the island. Triton goes to explore and finds a dead ship with pearl shells surrounding it. He takes the shells to give Butchya, but suddenly the shark army arrives.

Elsewhere at sea Butchya laments his friend, when he sees a red field below the boat. He goes to help Triton, who tells him to leave (but takes his spear) and kills the sharks.

After finding the dead sharks, Doriate vows revenge. Marcuses appear
and warn her that the area belongs to Poripeimos and Poseidon will
punish her for interfering, but Doriate knows that if Triton is killed,
she will be easily forgiven. She meets Poripeimos, who tells her
that he is taking his time with Triton. Doriate accuses him of
cowardice. Marcuses stop the two from fighting and orders Doriate
out. Doriate orders Gelpura to make a large whirlpool to scare
Poripeimos, which destroys the island.

Butchya and Gramps are lost at sea, and of course Gramps
blames Triton. Triton believes that they are dead, and wonders
if he really is the son of the devil. Luka tells him that
Poseidon is at fault, but Triton has a hard time believing that.

I seem to be having tremendous difficulty with my life-style...

Due to my current situation of too much stuff going on (good, bad and neutral...mostly bad and neutral), this blog will be on semi-hiatus for the next few weeks. I will still be posting TRITON summaries as often as I can (hence "semi-hiatus").

I won't be deleting the blog archives unless forced to do so - I hate when people announce they quit and nuke their archives. In many cases that may be necessary, but I think mine can stay up.

I'll be back...

"Under the Southern Cross"

At night, Ero comments that it will be hard for Poseidon to find
them at the island. Luka tells them to be alert, but thinks that
the Poseidon won't find them. Pipi complains about the lack of a
house on the island (she preferred her frozen boat).

The next morning, Pipi complains about the sand and wishes to go
back to the North Sea, leading to an argument with Triton. Triton
tells Luka that he can't stand Pipi, and Luka tells him to build
a house (which should calm her down). She tells him that when they
return to the Atlantic, it will be easier to leave her at the
island if a house is there. She reminds Luka about Ippei, and
Triton remembers Ippei's advice to calm down by looking at the
sea.

Luka finds a location for a house underwater, but Pipi refuses to
look at the site. She only wants a frozen boat for her home. Triton,
meanwhile, looks at trees and tries to cut one down with the
Oriharucon dagger.

The resulting explosion knocks the tree down, but scares the other residents. Pipi snaps at him "You said you could do it without the red dagger. Now you use it? It could kill everyone here!" She blames the deaths of Proteus and the other sea lions on the dagger.

Elsewhere, Poripeimos states that he will do anything to find Triton. A fish tells Poripeimos about an explosion on an island, and Poripeimos orders the sea serpent Ryuda to check the situation out.

Ryuda

At the island, some random dolphins talk about the danger that
they could be in if Poseidon finds the island. Suddenly, Triton
d rops in, dangling from a weak branch. Karo pulls him (and the tree)
into the water.

Fin remarks on how smart Triton is, and Pipi responds
that Triton can only destroy things. Triton, meanwhile, is working
on building the house. Ero and Karo chide Fin and Pipi for not
helping out, and Pipi believes Triton put them up to it. The
argument is stopped by Triton, who asks Pipi to help with the
house. Pipi, of course, complains and decides to return to the
North Sea herself. Luka reminds Triton that the two of them are
the only Triton Tribe left.

In the sea, Pipi complains about how she hates everyone, and Fin
chases her, warning her about the rapids ahead. When told about
where Pipi is headed, Triton goes after her. As you would expect,
the two of them get sucked into the rapids, and are noticed by
Ryuda (who is disguised as a waterspout. Ryuda makes two towers
of water that surround Triton and Pipi.

Triton decides to use the Oriharucon dagger, against Pipi's objections (who believes that if it is used, she will die like Proteus). Triton tells her she won't get hurt so easily, and Pipi runs off into a Ryuda whirl. Triton throws the dagger into the whirlpool, and Ryuda is killed. Pipi dives below and retrieves the dagger, finally unafraid.

Back at the island, Luka asks Pipi to defend the peace of
the sea with Triton. Triton comments that Pipi needs to give
up-she can't get back to the North Sea on her own - and she'll
like the island when she gets used to it. "If you insist." she
says, and takes the house as her own. She goes to the house
(where Triton's conch is the pillow) and says good night to
Proteus in the stars.
