Triton of the Sea - Episode 4

"The Ends Of The North Sea"

Triton arrives at the North Sea, surprised that snow is falling
despite the sun shining. Luka tells him that they must find Proteus,
the patriarch of the North Sea, an old sea lion who may know where
another Triton is.


Elsewhere, two seals, Buru and Moya, play with balls of ice. One
bounces off the water unexpectedly...and a pleiosaur rises up!
Triton and Luka hear the sounds, suspecting that the Poseidon may be
there already. To Luka's objection, Triton baits the monster,
and creates a steam cloud with the Oriharucon dagger that allows the
seals' escape.


"Triton has come to the North Sea..." the Morsejellies tap. Marcus
appears in a cold underwater region, as a voice complains that his
sleep was interrupted. Minodarth, the voice's owner, is told
that Triton has arrived in the North Sea. "We must kill all of
the Triton. Kill them! Kill them!"

Triton and Luka arrive at a giant glacier while discussing how great the Oriharucon dagger is.

They hear a girl's voice and Triton goes to check it out (being duly nagged by Luka to be careful). The girl, who turns out to be a mermaid, says to the seal that she
will mount the queen's throne tomorrow. Triton goes to her,
but inadvertently crushes some flowers (to the mermaid's dismay).
He asks about Proteus, but she refuses to give any information and
dives into the ocean.

Luka and Triton enter the iceberg through a waterfall and emerge
in a clearing. Suddenly, seals attack them! Proteus arrives and
recognized Triton's outfit. He asks forgiveness for the other seals'
actions and tells them that Triton is here to pick up the Triton girl,
Pipi. Proteus brings Triton to a dead ship and tells
Triton that Pipi was brought to him to keep her from the Poseidon.
One of the seals tells him that Pipi is the mermaid he met earlier.
Triton is confused, as he did not start life with a fish tail.


Proteus, Luka and Triton find Pipi, who refuses to go with the seals.
Suddenly, the pleiosaur emerges again! Proteus tells them that
it is one of Minodarth's monsters. Triton manages to lure the monster
to a glacier and uses the Oriharucon dagger to bring the glacier
on top of the pleiosaur. Seeing the pleiosaur's blood, he runs
back to the seals, where Proteus praises him (Pipi is unimpressed).
Triton screams that he is sick of fighting and is quitting. Proteus
tells him that they must take Pipi, as Minodarth is coming, but Triton
refuses.
