Triton of the Sea - Episode 3

"Shine, Oriharucon"

At an island with palm trees, Triton stares out to sea, giving
yet another soulful speech. The Atlantic will hold the answer to
his questions, and he starts to build a raft. He enlists Fin to
help build the raft (in return for conch-playing). Ero and Karo
decide to rat on them. "I won't let you go. You're just a kid
who doesn't know the sea or the true facts about Poseidon." Luka
tells him that Salamandara and the manta were only the beginning.
"Didn't I leave Uncle and go to the sea alone?" Triton snaps.
Afterward, Luka tells Ero and Karo to steal the raft...but
Triton and Fin have already left.

Of course, our old pink pal Mr. Morsejelly has seen them. "Triton
is leaving for the sea." Hearing this, Doriate (after stoning yet
another poor shark) summons Gelpura. She scoffs at a warning
from Marcus, thinking Triton's just a kid.

Triton and Fin sail through a storm. The gruesome twosome dive into the sea for relief, only to
come across a giant squid. The squid attacks, and Triton is sucked
into a whirlpool. Meanwhile, Luka, Ero, and Karo meet with Medon.
Medon realizes that the storm was a trap, and find Fin, who tells
them about the attack. Medon tells them that it was the jet current,
which leads to the deep six, the "graveyard of the sea", and tells
them that Doriate is rumored to live there. In the deep six, Triton
meets Doriate, who tells him that Gelpura, the storm, and the whirls
were all her doing. Triton sees all the stoned animals and draws his
dagger. Her whip catches on the dagger...and disintegrates!

Suddenly, Medon descends on Doriate's house ship and tells Triton
to go home. Triton tells him that he'll be invincible with his
dagger. Doriate's shark armies attack, and Medon shields the group
with his body as they escape. Luka carries Triton away, and he
sees the blood rising from Medon as the army of sharks attack him.
"Gelpura, this is your showtime. Tell Medon that the Poseidon can
reactivate the volcano!" Doriate says. Medon is caught in the
eruption, but Triton and the dolphins escape.
"For you, Medon sacrificed himself. Triton!" Luka tells him.
Triton is taken back to his village, where he sees Ippei being taken
to shops by two children. "Do you hear Triton?" Ippei laughs at
the idea. Triton again goes to a cliff to agonize...he cannot go
back to the village or be a Triton. He meets the dolphins again,
and they tell him that there may be some Triton survivors in the
North Sea. Luka and Triton set off, leaving the three other dolphins
to protect their island.
